Oh, you're getting an error? That must be the reason you keep joining and leaving!
It works fine to me. Sounds like a network problem. Can you give your network's technical information/module/settings/preferences etc.?

I'm afraid moderator privileges are only given when I feel necessary and if the user is worthy enough. I don't give it out when people ask, sorry.

I think he means Scratch moderator not a chat moderator.

Oh. Well, I bet the Scratch Team is the same as me. Though of course, they also have a voting system.

Just so you all know, I plan on recreating Chat.PY with a new server and protocol. So eventually the current client will become obsolete and an update may become required.
The future version of Chat.PY will have an authentication system (with Scratch account override), channels, channel ranks, global ranks, and hopefully some other features. I'm also thinking of setting it up so only global mods can create channels. That way I can moderate the entire server more efficiently and only give channels to those who I trust and really need them.
If you want to see the code for the plugin, it is here: https://sourceforge.net/p/scratchspace/ … ns/chat.py
I actually haven't done any testing on it yet, since I'm spending most of my time working on Virtual Space. I plan to have both Virtual Space and Chat.PY up and running by Scratch Day (since I plan on showing off both projects on Scratch Day).
Any other ideas for Chat.PY?

Which Scratch day are you going to?

The one in Utah. http://day.scratch.mit.edu/event/502 And from the knowledge I have, I don't think any of the Scratcher's I've talked with here on the forums are in Utah.
I am thinking of asking some people to come online during the presentation, though I'm not sure how that will work out.

I'm going to MIT...I was hoping to see you there ...

Bobby: Yeah, it's too far away.
l-drago: Hmm, did you enable Remote Sensors/Connections?

I'd say. What, it's only 2,000 miles away? Also, I think I finished FIreChat. Would you come on if I opened a Hamachi connection (and uploaded the chat project, of course).

I don't have Hamachi and I don't really plan on installing it at the moment.

My dad would kill me if I port-forwarded. Do you know of any other LAN simulation programs (that don't require installation, for that matter...)?

I'll see about installing Hamachi.
But I think what you want to search for, is a VPN (virtual private network). Other than that, I don't know.

I found a VPN-like program. Here is the IP/port:
IP: ***.***.***.***
Port: 42002

I was able to connect to the server. Is there a specific mirror and project I should use?

The project is my newest upload. The mirror is the mirror you helped me build (and for that matter, debug) in the FireMMO thread. Links (and source) for both can be found on the last page of the FireMMO thread.
