I'm not much of an artist, but my sibling(PeaceLoveArt, who posted earlier in the topic) is going to try to become an artist for a kids' writing and art magazine.
And, like PeaceLoveArt said earlier, our dad is an artist.

I use Flash
it's good for animation and art and renders everything in vector format
MS Paint is awful because it's, well... MS Paint and resizing anything you draw there messes everything up

I've never tried GIMP

XD, the method in that tutorial is actually what a lot of pixel artists use when making sprites and other forms of pixel art. smile

Right now, I'm working on a picture for The Hunger Games and a picture with stacked pancakes (I was hungry >:I). The Hunger Games one will take awhile but the pancake one might be done by tomorrow night.
