I don't do art
rather, quality flash animation on Newgrounds
I don't bother trying to recreate something like that on Scratch because of the fact that Scratch doesn't have a 'timeline' and i've already been using Flash for three years

Hi! Welcome to Scratch!
I know I'm not really new, but I do art, too! I post my latest artwork in my signature 
To get noticed, I would advertise in the Show and Tell. When you become a Scratcher, advertising becomes easier because you can post your latest work in your signature. Don't worry, you'll be one soon enough! Just stay active, keep posting, and upload projects

Hi, welcome to scratch
If you want to get noticed, two rules you should have are
1. Use the forums- you can create topics with links to your art( show and tell) or one of the miscellaneous forums would be good for that)
2. Use your signature- signatures are little bits of words, links, or pictures people have under the thing they wrote in the forums( for example, my signature has a link to one of my projects. To do that, go to settings, then personality, then you will see a place to put text in. For a link, just do clicky. This will give you a link that says clicky. Signatures are good because every time you post something on the forums, people will be able to see your signature!!!
