So I found a link to a very promising game called Castle Story, they haven't released anything yet but it looks awesome. It's like a mix of Dwarf Fortress, The Settlers and Minecraft built in Unity3D with the objective of creating a castle out of bricks then defending it from monsters and other players. Castles are built brick by brick meaning you can make awesome structures to do a lot, you could make a massive bridge to another island, you could surround your island with a big wall, you could even make little houses for your bricktrons to live in. With things to be added like drawbridges, it'll be like a more custom version of Minecraft but instead of you controlling the person directly you instead tell them what to do. The game hasn't got a release date yet, but they're hoping to release it in an early beta stage early on in the year.

It says in the FAQ that they're going to port it for macs and PCs first, then move on after they add more.
And I don't think it'll cost too much, like 10$ or so, just guessing.
Sounds great, thanks a bunch for telling us about it.

I wouldn't pay money for something that hasn't proven itself to be great...
I probably won't get it

Yeah, I'd probably pay £20, assuming you get later updates free.

I actually can't wait for this game to come out, I've been playing the Settlers 2 (On my Amiga, but I torrented the 10th thingy remastered version) and I can tell you now, it is terrible. CS looks like so much fun and there's already lots of directions in which they can take it .
Dev blog here, FAQ is somewhere on this site.

It answered a lot, I like that we don't have to rebuild castles brick by brick.
I wonder what connecting islands will be like though, I don't want an ugly pole sticking out of my island.
Eh, I kinda like the idea of making bridges between them. But I've no idea how they'll do it, since there's nothing to support them.
And I'm not sure, but I think one of the developers mentioned teleportation a while ago.
