Well if most of the main cast has to be unrelatable arrogant geniuses, at least have an Audience Surrogate.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

And on the point of "... who expresses the questions and confusion of the audience." That'll be easily dealt with within the four main characters. You see, they aren't all good at the same thing. For instance, Caleb is the genius at behavioural psychology, so he will regularly have to explain to the others how he knows who's lying and what emotion they're showing, etc.

And the same thing applies to the others, and their skills. They'll explain things to each other, therefore explaining it to the audience.

Your story is interesting.
I can't really relate to it in any way though.

No, the super genius multimillionaire ninja who fights crime.

No, I'm trying to make the point that Batman has a character who's very hard to relate to, considering he's a super genius multimillionaire ninja who fights crime, and as far as I can tell, there isn't really any other main character in the Batman stories for the audience to relate to. Yet that's a highly successful series of comic books/movies.

Funnily enough, William (the real life person who the character is based on) says that my writing style is too literal. He doesn't like it.  tongue

That's a bit arrogant to make yourself a mary sue character like that in your story. Also do you happen to know what a Gambit actually is?

Of course I do. I go on TV Tropes all the time.  big_smile  Though actually, I've changed the title back to The Young Detectives Agency.

And how is it a Mary Sue character when the character is only exceptionally good at one or two things? There's a reason they are a team, instead of trying to do it by themselves.

You're self inserting yourself into a story as some genius psychologist or something, that's called Mary Sueing

And tell me what a gambit is if you know then.

How is he inserting himself as a MS?  The characters are each good at their own things, and caleb's said they are each going to have flaws like being arrogant.
