when will scratch 1.5 come out? I'm really looking forward to all the new and cool updates. Please answer because I'm dying for an answer. Thanks!

Actually, the next release is Scratch 2.0. wink

The expected release of Scratch 2.0 is expected to be sometime in 2012 if there's no delay.

There will be no Scratch 1.5;; the next version is programmed in Flash and called Scratch 2.0. It's unknown when it's coming out, but it will likely be sometime this year. A beta may be released at Scratch Day @ MIT.

The next version is actually 2.0, and it's release date is unknown. It's rumoured to be sometime this year though.

The Scratch Team confirmed that they were trying their best to aim for a release on Scratch Day 2012, and if they can't reach that goal, than a beta version is likely to be released.

More recently they said they'll do a beta then.
