Does anyone know a reliable hex number colour sheet?
No, but I'd recommend a lighter blue, like #CBE4F7. I use that on my site.

Hmm, ok. It doesn't really go with everything else though
Can I see the site? I'd like to help, even if it's just making suggestions.

Sure i'll upload it now, it would be great to have an experienced html developer on hte team let me update the dev list then I shall upload it. Feel free to play around with the code but don't drastically change it without my permission

Do I need FTP details or something? How will I change it? Or do you mean I just play around with it on my computer and send you the code?

Just play around on your computer while I look around for a reliable server to host it on Here it is, don't worry it's a safe site.

Well no offence but the homepage looks suckish. Its not the colour scheme or anything, its just bland.

I'm changing all of the files to PHP to take advantage of the include() function. If you want, I can also get us a free 000webhost subdomain, and give you the FTP details.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe they have something to do with Microsoft Word.

Those are generated by bluefish, they are kind of a lock so you don't lose data.

I agree, which is why we're gonna improve it.
Also, grammatically, shouldn't this be Coders' Shed? It's for multiple coders...

Could I help? I have knowledge about CSS, HTML, PHP and have a pretty good well-rounded knowledge in some other technologies. I could help with the backend (login, user registration stuff and a bit with making it look nicer. One more thing - is the websites code going to be open source? If so it be good getting github.

The words on the website need some proofreading:
Rules of Coder's Shed:
When on this site, ALWAYS keep in mind that there may be people registered that are younger than you. Also, keep in mind that this site was created to help newbies as well as advanced coders develop new skills, so remember that any question should be answered with a respectful answer instead of “Go away, n00b”. Coder's Shed was made to help other with their programming, not to help people clear out their toenails. So in the forums, don't post topics like that, only about programming related subjects please. I should also say that all swear words are censored due to me thinking they are pointless, and also because there may be younger kids on the site. If you are caught using a censored word, you will receive a short ban that will last about two days.
(mostly fixed commas)
Learn How to Code:
You must know a little about computers already.
You must have a logical mind and some understanding of math and algebra(ie what algebra is).
You must pick a language that suits (fixed this) your needs, don't just choose C++.
Maybe recommend some beginner languages, like Scratch(!) or KidsRuby.
(In the FAQs)
Don't feel too bad, it was only deleted because we don't have unlimited space.
Proofread'd!
EDIT: It could also be Coder's Shed, short for "A Coder's Shed" or something like that.
