Hi there- my daughter is working on a scratch project with other friends. They have each created a scene and we need to be able to combine the scenes into one folder so that they will flow. We also want to be able to copy a sprite that was used in one scene onto another scene. Can anyone tell me how to do this or point me in a good direction to find the answer? Thank you.

I guess so- we have each "scene/project" in a separate folder. We want to combine the scenes so that the sprites can move between scenes in the same project. Thanks.

I tried exporting the scene, but it just went in over the existing scene instead of creating a new scene - any ideas on how to export it and have it create a new scene in the same project vs. Just overwriting the existing scene? Thanks.

Do you mean background?

It sounds like you're trying to export a costume from a Scratch project and that it's rewriting a pre-existing image file because of the name, but I'm not sure. I'm kind of confused what you mean by "scene" and "folder" here. Do you mean "background costume" and "Scratch project"? Please explain further.
In any case, there is a faster method of importing all sprites, scripts, background costumes, etc. from one Scratch project into another. You can open up a new Scratch project; then on the menu bar, click on "File"->"Import", and then import each project one by one.

Scratch doesn't work the same way as Flash does. There are no scenes in Scratch. You can combine projects by importing a project into Scratch, but it would be best if it was all kept in one single project instead of 3 seperate ones.

Or, you could keep the projects separate, and create a story Clutter.

I don't think that would keep the same sprites or variables, or let them interact with each other

That's not what he wants.
