Maybe, it won't be so much like the scratch forums though basically in the forums you ask questions and others answer. But if I can Have the source or something then sure i'll take a shortcut ;P

here's the sourceforge project we're not finished yet but...

Re: Coders' Shed

Here's an idea - it could be kind of like Yahoo Answers, where one person who is bad at programming posts a question and if others have this question, they can vote it up ("upvotes"). Then, a person who is good at it can answer, and others can rate the answer or flag it for review.

There can also be a sort of list of all the questions, and you can choose to order it a certain way (like by date, least/most upvotes, views, etc.) The ones that have the most "upvotes" can go further up, so that ones that lots of people have trouble with can be answered first.

Also: the banner is a little too squished down and I can only really program in Scratch and know exactly zero other programming languages, so maybe I should be moved from "developer" to "design/inspiration person."

If it could magically check for syntax errors while the person is writing their response code it would be cool.

Well, since it's for Scratch, it could just have something like the forums do. It can have a code box and a text box, and they would do exactly what it sounds like it would do (the code box would show up in code and the text would be text).

I don't think it is for Scratch specifically bro.

you should make it so you don't need a file sharing service though.

Ask me what I'm doing, wait an hour than roll a die, if it's 4-6, I'm playing Skyrim, if it's 1, I'm eating, if it's 2-3 I'm programming.

In that case, it could still have that idea but the question is put under a category for programming language (like if it was Scratch it would show up in Scratch blocks and if it was something else it could just show in the same font or something).

Re: Coders' Shed

Also the "bro" is sorta weird. No offense, but it's just unnecessary and could be a turn-off to others because it looks kind of unprofessional. Here, I changed the color scheme slightly so it's less bright and more blue, and I put in some editing marks (because I don't know what font that is).

Yeah, it does.

Here's a concept for the "help with coding" section: ideas!!!!

Re: Coders' Shed

Thanks  smile
the "learn to code" section has already been made, it's basically like how to pick a language and the basic steps to learning it  smile
Neat idea, I was thinking instead of providing a couple languages to pick we have a text box that lets you type which language it is. It gets more messy that way but it is more flexible. And what do you mean with the arrows in the menu bar?
edit: the font came with my computer xD

Re: Coders' Shed

Great idea!
If you have the time and experience, perhaps you could incorporate user-submitted articles into your site, so that members can create and edit articles and tutorials on the use of the programming languages.
The colours are certainly eye-catching, although I would suggest lightening the colour scheme slightly and adding more contrast.

Thank you  smile  I'm not terribly experienced but I am using this to learn new skills  smile  Maybe i'll create a wiki or something where people add new languages or something :3

Maybe it could be more like StackOverflow rather than Yahoo! Answers.

Isn't that very similar to Stack Overflow?
Oh, and change the background color. Make it lighter.
I'd join though.
