Re: Paint.NET Creations

I've never actually used it, because I have GIMP and Photoshop Elements. What are the main differences between Paint.NET and those two?

Paint.NET is less complicated and more intuitive.
GIMP has more tools, is more complicated, and less intuitive, BUT
You can make better pictures in GIMP than you can in Paint.NET if you have the know-how.

Re: Paint.NET Creations

I'm installing it right now. I'm hoping that it is the perfect fit: more features than the default MS Paint *cough*transparency*cough*, easier to use than GIMP, and cheaper than Photoshop (free)

Re: Paint.NET Creations

I prefer Paint.NET to Gimp for simple drawing, but often, I end up exporting it to Gimp and using that instead because of Paint.NET's limited features.  smile

I can't use Paint.NET now because I use a Mac  cool

Re: Paint.NET Creations

I make most things with paint.net, I hate software which is stupidly complicated, my dad wants to get me into autoCAD but I think sketchup is much simpler and better looking.

I make all my sigs with it.

Nope
Really, pdn is good for simple edits but you can't really do anything that amazing in it.

Paint.NET is great for beginners but takes some advanced skills and plug-ins to create great pictures, GIMP is more complicated but once you know how to use it, you can create stunning visuals.

Re: Paint.NET Creations

I use Paint.net for pixel art sometimes. Here's a little space ship I made a couple years ago.

I have a bazillion of his plugins.
Also, I saw him on the pn forums first, and then I saw him here.
And then I was like "BOLTBAIT USES SCRATCH?!"

Hey, anyone is allowed to go on Scratch, no matter who they are, as long as they are positive towards it.

That is awesome! I can't even do stuff like that. I can make simple stuff in GIMP and that is about all I can do.

No-one is judging you on what you make, it's how you judge others on what they make!
