Sorry for the title. Well what the heck Is this? These are Just Tip's 'n' Trick's To help If you are still a new scratcher and have over 200 post's or on the site for over 2 months or more and Still new.
1. Try Uploading More projects Daily
You can't become a scratcher In one hour (unless you had magic powers ) But uploading project's more (Like 1 project a day, everyday) can help. And don't post usless spammy project's. A Spammy Project would be a project of scratchie (The cat) doing nothing. Try uploading helpfull projects (Like how tos or welcoming others (and don't worry It won't be n00bish)) and fun and cool projects like games. And try being Very creative. And It's fine If you got inspired by some ideas from another project but try not to copy too much.
2. Be more active
Getting your scratcher status Is NOT as hard as breathing underwater (and you can't) but it's not the most easiest cherry pie either. But try being more active. Like 25 posts a day and 3 projects a day for example. Be more active. And be active on The Main Site (Scratch.mit.edu) AND The forums (scratch.mit.edu/forums).
3. Don't Spam
You might of fallen off the chances of being a scratcher mountain Because you might have been spamming. If you accidently spam (like put it in the won't forum by mistake) That's okay but don't do It multiple times or It can become very annoying and can be considered as "Spam".
Here's what spam Is Considered as If your wondering:
-Posting In the wrong place
-Posting nothing but random letters
-Posting something That nothing to do With what the topic/part of the forum your posting In (Like posting a FAQ In the Requests forums)
-Posting stuff like "visit my profile" or "add me" randomly.
I'll add more reasons later but for nor I hope this has helped

I'm not sure if it belongs in the New Scratchers forums though.

Uh... do you actually need to have 200 posts to be a scratcher??
No, actually, you can become a Scratcher with a considerably small amount of posts.
The point of TheDogIslandFan's guide is to help people who are still New Scratchers despite having a large post count. The point is that there are other things taken into effect, so your overall activity on both the forums and the main site is important, not just your post count.

you spam to much
that's why your still not a scratcher
That's not spam, that's pointing out a typo, and the server can't tell between spam and normal post so I don't see how it's stopping him from becoming Scratcher.

Whether you spam or not has nothing to do with it.

You are upgraded manually. It cannot see what spam is or isn't.

Some people are upgraded manually, and some have to wait the full month + other guidelines.

Nope look at me. I have 35 posts, and I'm a scratcher. I don't even have that many projects, and I haven't been on for that long either.

Well I suppose you could get banned for spamming but other than that, I don't think so.
