I'm planning on extending my NES/SNES game collection. It is currently kind of lame in numbers, but I think it will in time. Here's my collection so far.
NES
-Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt/World Track Meet (can only play SMB; no gun or pad)
-Excitebike
-Ice Hockey
-Super Mario Bros. 3
-Kiwi Kraze
-Donkey Kong
-The Legend of Zelda
SNES
-The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
-Super Mario Kart
-Super Mario World
-Mortal Kombat II
-Donkey Kong Country
Any recommendations for games on either system? I'm planning on getting the Metroid and Kirby games on both systems, Zelda II, Mario Paint, Yoshi's Island, and Super Mario Bros. 2 just to name a few. I'm not getting Earthbound, BTW, because that thing's much too expensive.
Also, my good friend is saving up for a Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis, so you can recommend games for those too.
Thanks in advance.

You should get Super Mario RPG, and Super Mario Allstars + Super Mario World (It's tough to find, but it's out there!). It's 5 games in one! One of my friends gave me both of them for free. Somehow I managed to get my hands on Earthbound way back, and let me tell you, it's great (But Mother 3 was much better). It's crazy how expensive it is now. Did you know that once the BOX for the game (without the actual game in it) was once sold on E-bay for about $200?

Super Metroid is good, and Final Fantasy IV. For the SNES it was called Final Fantasy II though.

I already have Super Mario World, so I'll just get normal All-Stars.

Actually, Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World has an improved Luigi sprite that DOESN'T LOOK LIKE MARIO.

I honestly couldn't care less about that.

No, it's not. Superman 64 is terrible.

I have Kirby's Avalanche for SNES, which I'd say is "eh"/10
Also Super Mario World which is phenomenal

Contra for NES. It's essential. And insanely hard without the Konami code, it'll keep you busy.
