This is actually one of my first tries at animation in years..
Take a look at my newest project... Thunder.

A surprisingly profound, satirical animation despite it masquerading as a mere pointless animation. To the untrained eye, this is nothing more than a generic animation that has no distinguishing qualities compared to others of its kind; however, it's because of this that makes it so beautiful.
The visual concept is a simplistic one but it accomplishes its goal; we see a gradient-composed man slide across the screen with a look on his face that implies a theme of suffering and indignation with some simple thunder animation. Notice how the guy is not stationary; he is, instead, sliding across the screen, despite his pained facial expression. Therefore, a theme of perseverance is implied. Thunder is also thrown in there.
Due to the versatility of this message, we can apply this to a variety of situations. However, I will settle on one particular one that gets the point across: the man represents a critic, watching awful TV shows as a profession and criticizing it. The TV show is so awful and he begs the writers to work harder.
The abrupt ending of this "pointless" animation represents the simple "No" of the writers, as they rake in all of the cash and take absolutely no regard for the actual writing quality of the show.
This is merely my interpretation, but I'm sure that fellow viewers share mutual opinions. I applaud you. Thank you for sharing this with everybody. Truly an under-appreciated project.
