I know this is late, but I thought I would add my little attempt. I used Scratch images of course, and a pumpkin I created a few years back.
We have only been using Scratch a few weeks here and we LOVE it!

We have featured MyRedNeptune, archmage and dexter008 projects. The logo winner was planetbravo. Congrats to everyone.

Congratulations PlanetBravo!

Thanks so much! That was really fun participating.
And we just got done playing the featured games by MyRedNeptune, archmage and dexter008 and these folks are definitely avid Scratch developers! We feel honored here at PlanetBravo to be mentioned in the same thread as these programmers! Keep up the great scratching, everyone! And thank you again for including us in the Halloween festivities.

I like it when someone uses scratch images for the logos i think that is better than using photoshop or what not

I like it when people add to the set of scratch sprite costumes by using digital cameras or by making good drawings of sprites, so I support the use of logos that include photos, as long as the corresponding project has those photos as sprite costumes or backgrounds!

I'm sorry ignore my thing now because I can't get the picture of the logo up Sorry

For those of you that would like to use the Scratch logo font in your redesigns, you can download it here in Windows TrueType format:
http://scratch.mit.edu/files/logo/SCR.TTF.zip
The font does not support bold or italic, but I hope it can still be useful!
The font was originally found on this website (which includes a Mac TrueType download):

Let me know if you have any questions!

why dont people keep submitting logos for the next holidays? i mean, wont there be a new one for thanksgiving and christmas and everything else?
Offline
I imagine that there will be a holiday logo for any holiday that they get good submissions for, though I don't think that they have made any official announcement of that.
Don't wait for the scratch team to pick a day.
Do the minor holidays! We've already missed Mole Day (for Avagadro's number, celebrated on 6:02 10/23) but there is still Pi Day, celebrated March 14 (3/14). International Speak like a Pirate Day is over for this year also, but you can find lots of other holidays on the web. Find a holiday *you'd* like to write a scratch program and design a scratch logo for, then put a link to in this forum. If the scratch team likes it, I'm sure they'll do it.
The holidays that are popular with a lot of scratch writers may be harder to get your logo accepted for.

also, today is veterans day.

there were no logos submitted for veterans day
the next holiday in the US is Thanksgiving but you can propose any other holiday as I said in my first post

Could you put up the scratch logo in black and white please?
I don't have it in black and white but you can convert it from color to black and white in any image editing software. Maybe even in Microsoft Paint! If not, I'd recommend Paint.Net which is free.
I can make it black and white, i alredey have a green one and i can make it any color.
I do it with the game maker 6.1 paint editor!

You cant do it in MS paint but you can invert the image only if it does not have a translusent background

I think the old logo is the best!

This is not relating to this subject but I'll post it anyway. For some reason, I can not see any projects on scratch, including my own. And I have Java! (Time is 5:32pm Boston time)

Look at the bottom of the page. Do you see a "show all projects" button? That's the cause of your problems. Click that button and all will disappear!
By the way you have to get out of the Forums to see that button.

It seems to me that normal service has been restored today.
