Hi there!
The best tip I can recommend is to edit the 2D platformer template, which is included in scratch.
Press open>Sample Projects>Games> 2D platformer.
Edit it by changing the land. If you want a longer game, duplicate the blocks (Right click the item in the object list), and change the script from *1 to *2 and so on..
