Making Valentines for Veterans.

We made Valentines for Veterans in my class! We told them how much we appreciated them. Also, today is my B-Day!  big_smile  Did you make any Valentines?

I do too, but only because I have no friends.

This one guy shared the tale of St. Valentine in class. Apparently he got his arms and legs chopped off and his heart was put out in the square, and then if you believe in h(H?)im (are a Christian? I'm not sure because he was saying it) you'll find true love. How romantic.

Well, I don't HATE it, I'm happy for others and stuff.

Back to the topic, I haven't done that, but once (for Girl Scouts) I made Stockings for Soldiers.

Newsflash: all holidays do!
However, the true meaning is love or something.

Re: Making Valentines for Veterans.

Valentines Day... Meh. In Grades 1-3, people had to give Valentines to everyone in their class. In grades 4-5, you could choose to give valentines out, but they have to be given to the whole class. Now I'm in 6th grade, & students can give valentines to anyone, if they want to. Today I was going to tell my crush that I like her, but recently people have started figuring it out, & spreading a rumor around the school. Btw, Happy B-Day ImagineIt!  wink

Re: Making Valentines for Veterans.

Wait... I just noticed something: This topic is starting to seem more like miscellaneous, which is a now archived forum. This topic was supposed to be about Valentines Cards that ImagineIt made, but imedeitly let off into a conversation about what people think about V-Day. I think this should be closed.

Because trying to get it back on course is naturally out of the question

Not if we steer this topic to the right discussion!
So...let's do that!
Stop discussing what you think of Valentine's Day and start discussing what you made for Valentine's Day/Imagineit's Valentine's for the veterans  smile

Honestly, the root of discussion should be about creating but I think the branching yet related ones are beneficial.

And many people are explaining why they didn't make them.  tongue
(Nor did I, nor did I receive any.) :

It wouldn't be fair on the thread owner if the thread got closed because of other people getting off topic  hmm  Plus, off-topicness isn't a reason to close a thread anyway.

Re: Making Valentines for Veterans.

Valentines day should be everyday. Everyone should be nice and extra kind to each other everyday, we shouldn't need a special day to show appreciation.
