I was thinking on doing an earthquake simulator, as in simulating earthquakes using the richter scale. I was thinking using buttons with "0-2.9" etc. on them would simulate how differences on the richter scale would affect a neighborhood. Sound good? Please give me feedback or any ideas you have.

Cool. I can help with some scripting, if you'd like. This type thing requires a little bit of math to have everything shake properly.

Thanks! Yeah, I firgured the physics would be hard to make, but I thought if I could complete it, it could maybe get front paged! (MAYBE)

Sounds cool! If you work hard on it, I'm sure it'll get front paged on it's own

Thanks northmeister! I got the idea from my school program (I'm homeschooled) where there was an interactive earthquake simulator like the one I'm planning on making. I am slowly but surely working on it.
EDIT 1: 160th post!!!!

Would be interesting if you show different sorts of
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Construction#Building_construction
some withstand major quakes, others collapse.
Let players guess which buildings will last,
than press the shake it on the Richter scale button
Get some rumble sound
The Japanese are excellent in anti-shaking construction,
other regions like Haiti are not so good in...
User erkstock has many smooth animated projects.
If you are done, i might integrate your shaking sequence later
into http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/eventexception/1810879
