I'm making an ancient African book. I have a wooden cover with words burned into it. It has very old looking paper that was soaked in tea and the edges burnt. One of the sheets was ripped in the process of making it. does anybody have ideas on how i can repair it without things that can be seen like scotch tape etc.

make another sheet
or don't repair it if it's supposed to look ancient!

What you can do is take a square of tea-dipped paper, and while the paper is still wet rub it into the tear, the fibers will bond and it will be like a patch.

Just leave it! More ancient!
Or use masking tape and redip in tea, to stain the masking tape
