How to change variable colours

how do u change ur variable colour
i tried copyin and it dont work :\

Actually, besides the "variable", "answer" and "position" colors, you would have to make a sprite that looks like a variable with the color you want.

Shift-click the "R" in "SCRATCH", then right-click the variable until you get as specific as you want.  Then click the red "Menu for me" button.  There should be a "change color" or similar option.  I'm not sure if that works online though  hmm

adding to what moregamesnow said, it works when you publish it with the colour, but you cant change it online. Also, you click the r and then first turn fill screen off, then you click the variable 5 times so it is above it (usually right click, but it depends on your computer). In the drop-down list there is a change colour option and it comes up with a box with any colour you can want. Your variables now look wierd  smile
