How to use Gravity

I've been on Scratch for a few months now, but gravity is something that I haven't found out about or seen anything. I've seen it as a variable, but I don't know how. Does it use X and Y to use gravity or something similar? Please post your suggestions here.

Here's EdnaC's gallery dedicated to different ways to model gravity...maybe you can find something close to what you want!
