Monster Hunter

Hello! (Sorry for bad english if there are any mistakes)

As the name says, Monster Hunter is a game in which we have to hunt monsters. Monster Hunter series is most popular for PSP, but it was also released for Wii, PS2, PC (only Japan), Xbox360 (only Japan) and PS3 (I'm not sure of this).

About 2 months ago I started making Monster Hunter game for Scratch and I released it month ago. If you want to play here you have the link:

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Kao/2246294

But I would recommend you to play Monster Hunter 2, which I released yesterday. In this game:
- There are various types of quests:
a) Gathering
b) Slaying small monsters
c) Slaying large monster
d) Repelling giant monster
- There are maps that consist of several location (so you have first to find monster)
- You can improve your sword with materials from defeated monsters
- There are several quest levels that are unlocked one by one.
- It takes more than one or two days to make game clear, so it's long game.

Here are the project notes:

This game doesn't work online! Download it and delete sprite called 'delete' to play!

Hunt monsters and carve materials from them to create weapons. This game includes every monster from Monster Hunter 1 and some new monsters.

Controls:
A & D - move
W - Jump
S - Go down (if standing on the platform)
Q - Evade left (after evading you have to wait 2 seconds to evade again)
E - Evade right (-||-)
Mouse Button - Attack (hold for combo attack)

How to play:
Click green flag (or press enter) then press SPACE to start. Choose quest level. Use arrow keys to select quest and press SPACE to begin quest. To move to next location, touch arrow and press SPACE. Depending on the quest you may have to:
- Gather some items - Find requested items on different locations, then deliver them by clicking red box in first location.
- Kill some small monsters - Find requested monsters and kill them with your sword. The quest will end when requested number of monsters will be slain. If your HP is low, just click potion icon to recover. Remember, that number of potions is limited.
- Kill large monster - Find requested monster (monster can change location at any moment). Don't touch monster when it's attacking. Every monster makes short breaks between attacks and that's your occasion to damage it. After you kill monster, you will get some materials from it. Use them to make greater weapons.
- Repel monster - In this quest, large monster is trying to destroy the fortress. Attack it as best as you can so it will make breaks. To clear quest, the fortress must survive until time runs out.

How to create weapons:
Click 'Improve' button in menu. List of weapons will show up. Click 'Show Materials' to know how many materials of each type you have got. If you have enough materials, just press number of weapon on keyboard to create it. To see more weapons, press 'N' button. Your first weapon has 16 attack power.

Monsters:

Small monsters:
- Ioprey
- Jaggi

Large monsters:
- Great Bat (my own)
- Yellow Great Bat (my own)
- Black Great Bat (my own)
- Barroth
- Ice Barroth
- Barioth
- Sand Barioth
- Nargacuga
- Green Nargacuga
- Nargacuga Rare Species (Moon Nargacuga)
- Shen Gaoren
- Fatalis
- Crimson Fatalis
- White Fatalis

Remember to save project when you end game!

Please click love it!

GOOD LUCK HUNTERS!!!

Re: Monster Hunter

Number 2 doesn't work, but it looks like you've put a lot of effort into it.

I started it up (downloaded and got rid of the sprite), pressed space and nothing happened.

And by the way, do you do collabs?

But I have tested it and it works on any computer for which it was downloaded. Are you sure you clicked green flag or pressed enter?

EDIT: Maybe your copy is damaged? Check if it's about 9.75 MB.

EDIT 2: I'm not going to join Collab-Camp.

Not Collab-camp, together we could probably recreate a huge game, I was thinking of Animal Crossing.
