Combining Scratch projects into one...

Is it possible to work in groups to create a final scratch project that consists of smaller scratch projects, somehow merged together to form the final product?  What I would like to do is have each member of a group create a part of the project on their own and be able to somehow link the individual projects.  For example, one student creates an introduction, another the body of the project and then the two merge into one.  Thus far I have not located a way to import one project into another - other than importing individual sprites and recreating backgrounds - unacceptable with large projects.  Is there a link to function that can be used.

If you go to the Extras menu you will see an option called Import Project that will do what you are trying to do.  Be aware that variables can get a bit confused when you import another project though - the way to straighten them out is to Save the project after importing another project.

orginization and size wise it has alot of bugs. when i tried combining simply 5 or so diffrent 'apps' in my lunar com project, the script count exceeded 500.
as P2S said though, just use the import function.
