Re: making programs

start with something simple like visual basic or HTML because if you just try to do something like C++, you'll have no idea of what to do

Re: making programs

Try w3schools. They have really informative and easy, fast tutorials for beginners and as a reference for more advanced topics.

But otherwise, I suggest starting with HTML even though it is a markup language and not a programming one. If you are interested in programming, I suggest searching for good tutorials on C++ and starting there.

Programming is an art...
Goodbye, Scratch. I am leaving because of the exams coming up at our school, though I'll check the forums once or twice a week.

Try Python.

Ask me what I'm doing, wait an hour than roll a die, if it's 4-6, I'm playing Skyrim, if it's 1, I'm eating, if it's 2-3 I'm programming.

Re: making programs

I would recommend the program language Processing, which is simple but powerful.

Re: making programs

I highly starting with Python.  It will help you understand most of the concepts you need, while at the same time being an incredibly simple language.
