Because nobody actually does anything properly, if anyone found our base then we'd come back to find it empty, you wouldn't be sitting back waiting.

In spirit of RPG, why don't we recreate an historic event? Eg. Columbus discovering America and the Indians, World War 2, The Battle of Waterloo, ect.

Also to go along with this I completely support a new map *hold your fire*. The server is boring, we need the fresh start.

If we get a new map everyone will make bomb shelters again and it'd be back to boring.

We need something to actually fight over, why don't we try out the artifact idea to see if it actually works?

Its a lot like this faction thing we are doing. A bunch of teams fighting for a common goal, or say, your artifact.

But having bases above ground is not going to be a very good plan for either side, and there's no way to check if they have hidden stuff underground. And I don't think people would be too keen on recreating an old battle, as it'd be PvP with everyone calling stuff weird names.

A good example of the thing I'm talking about(which could be real history or mythology) is that we be groups of Egyptians trying to find Osiris's body parts which are scattered across Egypt.

Its basically factions but there's a reason for the PVP.

It didn't work out because I gave some bread to someone and then an enemy stole it and ran off during peace time, after 3 warnings I killed them, left their items out (minus the bread) and warned them not to do it again, then everyone started throwing a fit, stating how it was unfair that I was playing and that I was telling everyone where the artifacts were (which I wasn't, I was building the town and never really left it).

If there's 1 artifact then that'll do, if you want to sit in your base moaning how you couldn't be bothered to get out of your bombshelter to search so therefore you deserve it then I don't think you understand PlayerVPlayer combat. And just because there's an artifact on the server doesn't mean everything will change, people will want to scout more and there will actually be some action, instead of this boredom which is Dwarvencraft, people will actually take time to suit up and fight.

We need actual bonuses, and artifacts should last forever to make them something to fight over, and I doubt that 16 has time to design tombs for each piece (burying them in a few pieces of sand won't be that fun) and if anyone else makes them then people will moan about how unfair it is.

No that's the reason your PvP server didn't work out. The reason the artifacts didn't work is because gbear was searching like forever. Our team was building. Then your team is like invisible with 'unbreakable items' while we had nothing.

Actually MR sent out everyone but me and someone else, we built a city then made some systems to keep the artifacts in, we got raided but nobody bothered to check all the chests and we kept most the artifacts.

It's more about how you use your resources, if you want something then you have to go get it, not put in minimal effort then moan when it doesn't work.

I'm not talking about that, you sent one person off to find 6 things scattered around the map, when the other team had 6 people searching, I don't see how you were expecting to find anything.
