I think you should put back miscellaneous in the things I'm doing outside of Scratch, as well as the two that are there now.

They got rid of Misc. because it was too hard to moderate. Why would they bring it back again? ._.

People need to get over freaking Misc.!!! The only reason I'm upset about it getting archived is because of people complaining all the time!

Miscellaneous was removed for a reason.

It was too much time hard to moderate and it was headed in a direction that the ST didn't like; it just didn't make sense to keep something that took so much resources to maintain and didn't necessarily agree with the ideals of the MIT Media Lab - the decision was to have it replaced with two different forums (Things I'm Making and Creating, and Things I'm Reading and Playing), which better fits those ideals and makes it easier to moderate.
Understandably, that kind of restricts the topics to be talked about on the forums - but it doesn't means you're barred from talking about them on Scratch. For topics that don't fall into any of the new criteria, it is encouraged to use a Scratch Project instead.![]()

Well if it's a creative thing then you can put it in Things I'm Making and Creating, or if the activity is related to a media you can put it in Things I'm Reading and Playing. If it fall outside of the two categories, then you can make a project instead.

It doesn't make sense to hire more moderators solely for the purpose of moderating something unrelated to Scratch, nor does it make sense to have current moderators focus a lot of time and energy for something unrelated to Scratch as well.

But you have mods solely for the TBG's.

But the TBGs are more with the goals of the LLK, and MIT media team. That's why that was kept.

^This.
Miscellaneous strayed far, far from that path; originally Miscellaneous could have been closed completely with no place for discussing media and creativity outside Scratch; in the end it was replaced with RaP and MaC forums, which keeps in mind the LLK and MIT Media Lab goals.
