Ratings?

I think you guys could have different ratings for different animations and games on the Scratch Site.

What kind of ratings would you like to see?

Re: Ratings?

Could we maybe make it so you can chose a rating system? (Example: 1-5 Star or 1-10 or just keep the Love-its.) Like in the project/Scratch Upload you can change it to 1-5 star or 1-10 or keep Love-its.

Re: Ratings?

ill explain it yet again:
the reason the scratch team doesint have it is because the newer 'younger' scratchers will get easily put off when their first projects get low/no ratings. and they are our future

Re: Ratings?

I didn't mean that kind of ratings—I meant the kind you see on video-games or movies.
Example: PG, E, G, ect.

It sounds like a good idea...but who is going to give the ratings?  It would take a bit of education before people could rate their own projects accurately.  And there aren't enough Scratch team members to view all the projects and pick the ratings.  So maybe some way for the viewing public to vote on a rating?  That might work!

It would be a good idea but the problem would be that it could discourage people. Meaning if they get a low rating they could feel upset and not want to try Scratch anymore.

Re: Ratings?

yeah the prob with ratng by numbers is that people will put like a 1 or 0 for people's first projects. Oh and with the ratings your could have different sections for like PG G and yadada(yadada meaning on and on not a rating named yadada lol)
