Why doesn't anyone like Fanfiction?

Basically, nobody but me on Scratch likes fanfiction. Why not like it? It's good. Noone likes it. And I write fanfics.

Because they are vehicles for whiny 12-year-old girls to write about their favorite characters going on a hot date, and they picture themselves on the date as they write.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

no need to be so harsh. Personally I prefer an original storyline and characters in a story rather than a video game or anime or whatever being extended in a different style.

Most the time they're not written by anyone who actually knows how to write a good story and the quality isn't great. Other times it's because it's not the same person by whom the rest was written, so it'll sound different and normally it'll be some 12 year old kid who writes a story about him/her going on a date with a pre-existing character.

I've only read a few fanfics, my little dashie has to be the best I read because of the twists involved and the quality of the writing.

I prefer original characters and plot, and not having to conform to already-set characters.

I like a few well written ones with original ideas, but a lot of them are poorly written trash that are like LOL SNAP KISSED HARRY SO HAWT LOL

Um, I dislike most fanfiction, the first one I read was called 'Ferard Forever' about the members of My Chemical Romance as high-school kids.
It began really well, and was believable.
But then Gerard & Frank started... breeding and I got really creeped out >///<

They're more like stories; with ready-made characters. It helps you look deeper in to a person... at the same time it may seem creepy. xD

I write Dragon Ball Z Fanfiction. I'm half way through my own story, and it's just a little hobby of mine. I write stories about adventure and action and stuff like that. I especially like Humor, more then anything else. I published a story on Fanfiction.net.

I like fanfiction. I'm even writing one. Of course there'll be romance, but not completely romance like those other idiots my age.

Twilight fics=teenage girls writing a story with them in place of Bella
MLP fics=trollbait if it's shipping or a clopfic, if it's not then it's more of a story
Pokémon fics=OCs, OCs everywhere
Naruto fics=them being some amazing fighter or something along those lines
Sonic fics=stories about an OC doing something with the original characters
Minecraft fics=more of a journal

That's all I could get from them, there's a few things out of the examples, of course.

I love FanFiction! I don't know why people are hating it ( maybe because they aren't creative enough to, so they say they hate it and the people who write them? )! I have a account and I have written one story.
