It is not recommended to give away email addresses on the Forums. Scratch is now quite a popular place, and the risk of getting spam is higher.
If you want people to contact you by email, then instead of directly typing in your email, you can insert spaces or symbols into the address for security. For example:
MyRedNeptune @ gmail (dot) com
I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>Offline

Yeah, because there are some situations where one person decides that he/she trusts a person enough to give them his/her email, and the person that they can "trust" is a computer hacker/spammer. That's why I never just give out my email!
