Help needed for file conversion

I made a signature in GIMP, and it was saved in .xcf format. How can we convert it to a web-suitable format?

Re: Help needed for file conversion

.xcf is the GIMP file extension. I don't know much about GIMP, but I'm guessing you'll need to do something like File>Export>As BMP, or something like that. .xcf is a GIMP project, not an image.

Re: Help needed for file conversion

When you save (the file should be something that has not been saved yet; if it has, then use save as), there should be a window that pops up.  Near the bottom, there's a little plus sign, and next to it it says Select file type (by extension).

That's for my GIMP anyways; hope this helped!

Thank you, that helped me a lot!
I'll try uploading it to ImageShack now.
