Been awhile
Hmm... A curator seems like a big responsibility. I have now been on Scratch for I think about two years now. I was around when the curating began (Though I did not have an account). Since then I have wanted to be a curator, though that doesn't sound much different then the other one-thousand applicants. I realize that the Scratch Team want's a curator that will choose projects the community would appreciate. I believe that right now people want good animations, and games based on what I have seen. I will not choose projects now, but rather stage a contest where people can enter their animations, and I might choose them. I don't know if this is the way the Scratch Team would like me to do it. And I can change the way I select projects. There would be rules to entering the contest, like, you must have had an account for a month, the projects must have less than 100 views, etc. Now let's get to the checklist.
On often: | X
Knows the Scratch community well | X
Has had an account for a year | X
Never been banned | X
I believe that I check out. Also, I have been curated. So I know how I would want it done. A few examples of what I would curate would be nice. So here is one Rocket Racer. It has more views than I would like, but it servers an example as to the type. It shows creativity, and while the sprites may not be as good as some, the programming is well assembled, and this is not a 10 second project, it is something that must have taken quite a while. I don't need to plan ahead for projects, as people always bring projects to curators, and I can use the show and tell as a backup plan. The Scratch Team wants a wide variety of Scratchers. They want gamers, storytellers, animators, boys, and girls. I post projects often, help out the community, and try to be an important and great member in the community.
A note to the Scratch Team. I have been checking the thread daily, and have been reposting every month for a year. But to what avail? My application is just as good as FreshStudios, or Fungirl123's. But yet I get no notice. I would like to ask, why is this? Is there something I did wrong at one point that counted against me? Is it because of something I did when I was new? I just think even something so you would acknowledge I'm here would be nice. If I have been reposting for over a year, what does that tell you? It means I'm serious, and want the position bad enough to keep asking for a year.
Repostin'

Hello, my name is NeilWest. I've been Scratching in the community for just over 2 years. I have made many friends and seen some truly inspirational projects. Shamefully, there is another side to the community. This side isn't famous for their groundbreaking projects, but like Mother Theresa, they keep going anyway. I want to show everyone that there is another part of Scratch other than animations and updates. That side I want to show, is called perseverance.

Hello pkease and dogkid44! Unfortunately, you guys cannot become curators until you become a scratcher. Keep making projects, be active in the community, and be helpful on the forums, and you'll be a scratcher in no time. Happy scratching!

Being a curator sounds interesting. I love looking at projects people make. I would like to show projects that involve jumping and stages. This is an easy category of games, and they are easy for beginner Scratchers to make. Another category I like is music videos. These also are not hard for beginner Scratchers, and they can be really cool.

My scratch username is XenoK_Studios. Being a curator sounds like an amazing opportunity, and I would be honored to take this role. I would strive to find the most creative and intuitive projects possible, to curate, and not just add some random project someone wants me to curate for them. Becoming the curator would mean a lot to me, and again, I would be honored to take on this role.

Hi, can I be a curator? I only have over 100 views on one project. I'd like more! So I think being curator will solve that problem. Thanks for understanding!

You shouldn't really apply if the only reason you want the job is for fame

Hi Scratch Team
I would love to be a curator! I am quite experienced, I have been on every day for 2 years and 3 months. I see alot of great projects that deserve to get front-paged, and I really feel sorry for the people who work so hard and don't get there.
This is my 4th time I think asking for this position, as I have wanted to do this since I first joined this wonderful website.
I will only choose projects that are under 30 views. I will only curate projects that people will want to see on the front page, like games and animations, etc.
My interests include games with rather good graphics, and are fun. I also like to see projects with a twist
I will only choose projects with alot of effort into them. If they don't have enough effort in them, I think they do not deserve to be front paged.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you accept me

Hey! I can't remember if I posted on here or not, i spent so long wondering whether I should be a curator or not I can't remember if I did request to be one on here.
Anyway, I am an experienced scratcher, who made the most successful advertising thread in scratch history that reached over 5000 views! I have also been voted a total of three times to be featured (Generation:3000 twice and Panders Quest once) but I didn't let Paddle2See feature Panders Quest because it was not finished, and Generation:3000 sadly didn't work on his flash player.
Also, I would bring world peace. Joking, this isn't a beauty pageant. I would look for projects that inspired me. Sadly, most of the projects which actually did inspire were already quite famous enough, and I don't want to waste front-page time on projects already well known. I would have picked Doodle Zoo, Space Invaders and Unpredictable, but only the latter is not popular, and by the sounds of things it is gaining popularity quite quickly. I've still got plenty of time to think though, as like with every other curator, I'll probably have to wait a while before becoming one, IF I become one.
In general, I've made good games, meaning I am experienced and can provide knowledge. I gave advice for speeding up projects here, and I also advertised for scratchers here! I've done little "bits and bobs" for scratch, and I hope that you all at Scratch Team appreciate it. Thank-you.
I've added some projects to my favourites!!!

I'm MrMonk999 and i really would like to be curator. I know what it feels like to not have that many veiws so i wont pick really famous projects. i also really like projects that involve math(cause i am good at it)or drawing(cause i really suck at it and think people who dont are cool).

A speech would improve your chances What type of project would you curate? How would you decide which projects to curate?

I'd be curator to help people get some of the things they worked hard on, never before been on the front page, constructive, and rewarding hard work

It would help if you had a speech.

Infact, I don't want to be a curator. Because it gives you fame, you see. That's not what I want. I'd rather live in my own in-famous life.
EDIT: Fixed double negative. (two negatives = a positive)
EDIT2: I might think about it, but just not for the fame...
