Oh a website whould be cool. But most important of all, we need to go on working on Elite. So who wanted to do the enlarging of the galaxy?

Dinoclor volunteered to make more stars.

In the moment nothing, i think. Hopefully Dinoclor will soon be done programming. Maybe then some artwork will be needed again.

ok thx

Hey come on! If you, Dinoclor, haven't got enough time to do it, wouldn't that be any problem. Just say it and then any other programmer will do your job. The important thing is, that this all here won't die out.

If Dinoclor hasn't at least checked the forum and replied by tomorrow, I'll get four more stars set up.
Ok. I think that's fair.

I added two stars and made them map markers. I DIDN'T have time to add gravity for the second one. I also doubled the map scale. Now it displays more, which leaves more room on the map for new stars. I haven't tested yet. I have ideas for fixing the scrolling stars background ending eventually.

Ok. Thanks. If I will have ome time for that tomorrow, I'll check it out.

Sorry, but I'm not sure I have time for Elite as well as being a collab counsellor and school. If Team Earth decides to make another project, I'll do it. I find it hard to jump into a collab when I've missed most of the development. But I'll be glad to help with another one.

I know that. I had a similar problem with Team Earth's first project. It would have only been better, if you said that a bit earlier, because we waited for you making the next draft.

I fixed gravity on the new white dwarf, and moved it closer to the other stars. I also added planets to both new stars and made the spaceship crash when it hits the new stars.
Thanks, Thrystor. I really like the change, that the map now shows twice as much as before. But I think now it looks a bit empty. So why not add a few more stars (don't have to have own planets) nearer to the edges... Just an idea.
However. A long time ago (I think for version 2.0) I implemented a moving background for a better flying experience. The problem is, that this background stops at about (scrollX=700) which isn't much since you slowed everything down. My request is, that you (or any other guy, who is a better programmer than me) slows the background speed down and adds a scroll limit (the ship shouldn't get further than the edge of the map), so that the whole galaxy has this background.

I don't need to add a limit to make sure that the scrolling background stays, there's another way. I'll do that after I add more stars. And in school on Friday I learned how you're supposed to use trigonometry, so I can fix the gigantic gravity script too. That will make adding stars MUCH easier. Oh, and have you noticed that there are only three of us who have been really active lately?

Sincerely, i can't help on the Elite project. Since i entered at a high school, my life's been a crazy milkshake of homework, school and boys. And i can't help at the Elite because i can't program that good (on scratch; i program better on java). But i can help you at the Musical Mashups for collab camp. Just give me an idea and i'l make it.
Sincerely,
Happy_011

Of course the scrolling background doesn't need a scroll limit. I just thought it whould help the end user not to get lost at [scrollX=40000] or anything like that.
And yes only me, you and Ads have been active lately, but I think the only reason why is, that we didn't need any of our artists yet. But when you're done with adding more stars, improving the background, implementing a limit and simplifying the scripts, we should work on the shop. And before we can start programing it, we first need a graphic. The costume shouldn't be bigger than a star and should have another, not perfect one for the map. Anyone interested? Maybe you, christian?

I actually already programmed a shop. It's in dropbox. That would be a whole screen, like the map though, and you would pause the game to enter the shop. My shop would need modifications though, if we were to use it. We could do a different one though. And yes, I'll make a scroll limit at the edge of the map.

EDIT: nevermind
im sorry but which stars needs art? and have we decided what spaceships to do?
