Lock resolved topics in "Help with Scripts"

Well first of all, before I get any "what if the user finds the solution doesn't work" comments, S/he could report the topic stating the solution didn't work.
Anyway, I believe that this could prevent some problems such as Accidental/Purpose necroposting which would lead old topics into new ones. It would also make that section of topic set up so you could check the back of the forum for a topic about your problem. The user could also just run a search for a topic like theirs. This would prevent likely and potential clutter from ever arising and in a sense, make life easier for the mods.

As suggested by Kayybee: You could close your own topics in that section, so the mods wouldn't even have to.

Re: Lock resolved topics in "Help with Scripts"

better yet, being able to close your own topics.
however, ^^^^ has been suggested before and is not implemented (yet) so I don't think they'll accept it. but what harm could it do?

(that way when the user is done asking questions they could close their own topic)

And it would only be in Help with Scripts though. Where it couldn't do harm.
That was a good idea with the closing your own topic in Help with Scripts.

I think there should just be a time limit after which all dead topics close automatically; perhaps a month? That's half of the old AAS limit.
