Re: Project 'fix loveits'

I agree and disagree at the same time... Well, people have choices. If someone won contest (say it's an image contest, they won on a image they worked hard on). If they worked hard, they totally deserve the love-its, so in that case i disagree. In this case, when people give out free love-its to projects that dont deserve it, I agree.

Re: Project 'fix loveits'

Wow! I have an idea! Maybe we can get 20 "love-its" and we could use them wisely for good projects. if we ran out, we wouldn't have used them wisely. Then, the ST could hold official contests to earn more love-its.

Re: Project 'fix loveits'

BUMMMMMP! I put the fix loveits image in my siggy, I hope that by bumping it and putting the image in my siggy will help. It's okay to really like someones project and love it because you like the project, just not using them as a "payment" or as an "I'm sorry about doing whatever" thing.

Re: Project 'fix loveits'

What we need is an ACTUAL form of currency. Maybe "points" or something. And with those points, we can be "ranked" by prestige. I guess the points can act as bragging rights...?

Re: Project 'fix loveits'

I think people should give a reward like a certificate that they can put at the beginning of their project that shows they won, came in second, came in third and on and on etc. or a review of their game, which they can also put at the beginning of their project, like "This game is awesome! *****!  big_smile  - [name of Scratcher who reviewed the project here]."

I think something worthwhile like a review or a certificate would be more welcome then a Love-It, since Love-Its are mostly meaningless.  big_smile

Support.  What do you suggest would fix this problem (besides people stopping by themselves)?

That is extremely limiting.  Wat if someone really loves 21 projects?

Re: Project 'fix loveits'

Well, this is an interesting task you have taken on!  I wonder if you have projects or a gallery on Scratch to support it?  Because otherwise, we are going to have to find a new home for this topic.  The Show and Tell forums are only for advertising Scratch projects and galleries.  Maybe Suggestions would be a better fit?

Personally, I don't mind it when people are rewarded love-its for a contest etc. It can lift spirits for an "unpopular" scratcher. However, I think it could be classed as cheating, but if they have stars like turkey said, I will be completely against rewarding stars for contest wins etc.

I hope I don't get hated for saying this  tongue
