I already do this, to me this change has just split misc into 2, I don't really mind doing 2 things, my modern day internet loads up pages almost instantly so it takes under 10 seconds to look at the other section. Mods are not always on though, and increasing the strain on mods is a stupid idea, the whole reason for this change was so we could not stress them out so much.

But I doubt it would ever really happen anyway. Maybe once or twice. The only reason it happened 3 times now is because it's the very beginning and people weren't used to it or anything.

It's called an argument, nobody said we're not allowed to argue against it.

Re: Discuss the Policies of This Forum

Let's say I want to talk about me playing basketball. Would that go here or in the "What i'm creating forum"?

Actually, the way we're looking at it at the moment is that Making and Creating is for topics about activities that you are passionately involved with - in a very "active" sense.  While Reading and Playing is more for topics that you enjoy...but are more "passive" in.  Right now, we're thinking that topics about sports that you play (where you are discussing your playing in the sport) might fit best in Making and Creating - since you are trying to create a new set of skills for yourself.   Does that make any sense - or is it just too confusing?

Maybe we should have a "Sports I'm Playing" section or whatever it's called for sports and active activities.

Hmmm.
Is it OK if I discuss the Tetris effect in this forum?
Not Tetris, the Tetris effect.

This is a temporary signature. It will exist until I think of something witty.

Maybe you should rename Reading and Playing to Things I Enjoy

Could you maybe put a link to the TBGs from somewhere, like the RAP forums?

Yeah, we desperately need one. Before, we had to go to Misc., go to the sticky, and then click the link. Now we have to go to a random forum, just so we can use the "Jump to" feature, on top of everything else!

There, I moved the old TBG thread over to the RaP forum.

It's old and still references Miscellaneous (so it needs to be updated), but it's a good placement for now.

Thanks  big_smile  Are you considering having a button for it at the top of every page though? Like, next to the normal forums button? Because that would be really helpful.

Because it was so off-topic and hard to manage.
