Yeah, I've been brushing up on my animation skills. I wrote myself a Mac app to help me take many pictures and string a bunch of the pictures into an animated .mov, figured out how to add sound effects with iMovie, set up a camera in front of a piece of paper where I can draw, but I can't figure out how to actually do the animation. I can do claymation, but drawing each frame over again seems too hard, and I can't think of another way. I tried erasing little bits and changing them, but it still doesn't look realistic. Tips?

How about keyframe animation instead?

Use a white board. Just draw and re draw the entire thing.
If you have a DSi, get flipnote to practice there.
It's just practice.
Or you could cheat like me (see my 1st project).

How's that cheating?

Drawing is certainly very hard, but the more abstract the animation is, the easier it will be
