I think that we should make Miscellanious inito a seperate forum, like the TBG's. It would be monitored by different moderators and you would have like a "New Misc.-er" status and a "Misc.-er" status. There are some things that don't fit into the new What I'm Reading And Playing and Things Outside Of Scratch forums. I recently posted a topic in Misc. called "Omg It Snowed!!" and it was a discussion thread for snow. This way, the people who still want Misc. can have Misc. back, and the people who didn't want it don't have to deal with it.

Some things to prevent spam/trolls:
~Lots of mods
~Ban people who spam/troll if they do it a certain number of times
~Make it so that people's posts have to have atleast {whatever number} letters
~Don't have image tags their

Pros and cons:

Pros:
~We can discuss things that don't belong into the What I'm Reading and Playing and the What I'm creating and Making Forums
~Make un-related to Scratch topics
~Make discussion threads that aren't about what your reading, playing, and creating
Cons:
~Spam.
~Trolls.
~May be hard to moderate

I kind of support, but one of the reasons they closed the miscellaneous forums is because it's too hard to moderate. hmm

The reason why it closed down was become..... lot's of spam came and it was getting so hard to remove it had to be shut down. but i'll make a misc forum.

The Misc had some good and some bad parts - a mixed bag. But the thing is, it doesn't really take any special expertise or technology to run an open topic forum. You could even start a reddit sub group if you like. So those of you who really want an open topic forum should consider hosting one.
(And maybe also consider joining forces with someone who already has an approved forum - and think about ways to govern it fairly.)

My mom won't let me make my own forum-- the only websites I'm allowed on are here, Google, and Wikipedia. sad

In my opinion, Misc was removed for a reason. Clearly the almighty authorities of Scratch didn't want it in their forums. Maybe someone should make a Misc gallery to chat in.

What rights do you want? Everyone in control of the whole website? You know where the close button is, if you want to bring the age of Scratchers up by making rules fit loosely then there's many other sites you can join, go join the GTA forums if you're into mindless insulting and copyright claims.

No. Misc. was gone for a reason. And even if the Scratch Team did like this idea, if they chose to implement it, it would show that they made a massive mistake.
