Definitely one of my favorite games, probably #2 only to SSBB. I've unlocked everything, yes, that includes the Mii plumber suit 
, and I have the 2-star ranking online. I'm shooting for that 3-star rank now...

Keep playing the game, and you'll just unlock them.
Much like TF2 with items.

Yep, I have it, and it's great. Especially fun when you're playing with a second player over Wi-Fi. My favorite character is Donkey Kong.
One thing that's awesome about it is its huge abundance of characters that you can unlock. I think that so far, I've only unlocked Birdo and Rosalina.
