If I do get Minecraft, should I create a server?

If I do get Minecraft, should I create a server? Also, what should I name it? Have any suggestions to put in it? What should the rules be and stuff? Thanks!  big_smile

Well, I wouldn't mind. But if we have too many servers the players will be spread out too thin and each one would be less popular.

Don't make it just a Scratch server. Advertise on other websites.

bukkit (duh)
Anti-Grief plugins such as HawkEye and WorldGuard

Before setting up a server, get to know the basics of Minecraft, you don't want to act like a noob in front of others.

How I felt before 2.0 was announced - R.I.P 1.4.

I have played TONS of Minecraft. Trust me... Every friend's house I go to, they have Minecraft and let me play. Plus, I have the iPod Touch app for it.  smile

Hmm... what's it about? I'm assuming it might be survival? I've always secretly (up until now) dreamed of having a Minecraft server called Flaming Kingdom (Because, y'know, I'm FireOcean.) Anyways...

If it's a foresty area you could call it...

The Black Forest server

or

Diamond Forest server

Or you could use some made up word like...

Tekilthian Server

Rutaka Town

Rishimiki City
