misc had like no rules whatsoever which was pretty much an invitation to spam it up which is what new scratchers tend to do
but in this the idea of these forums are clearly stated

would this include stuff that you are thinking about making??
Or ideas for making something

I don't think so; I think I remember a thread like that got closed.

We're hoping to encourage discussions about creative things that you really care about and are interested in sharing with others.  A signature might be such a thing, if you were say, creating a custom image and spending a lot of time on it and inviting input from the community to finalize the image.  On the other hand, it could just be some picture or text that you pulled off the internet somewhere and really didn't put a lot of creative thought into at all. 

So, whether it is allowed or not, depends a lot on how you frame your topic in the title and the first post:  "look at my new sig" would probably get closed.  "Help me with this sig picture I'm making" might well survive 

Remember too - you share your signature on every post you make or have ever made.  So there's really not a need for a special announcement topic.

I think those are fine...as long as you are specific about what you are looking to make and don't leave the topic too open-ended.  It helps a lot if you can share something you've already made in the area you are asking about.  For instance:  "Here's some of my wood carving projects...any ideas on other things I can make?"  or "Here's a story I wrote about an insane squirrel - any ideas on a next chapter?"

Hmm, good question.
I would assume it would be around that amount of time, but perhaps a little longer because the topics aren't being made as quickly as in Misc.

Well it's showing this that you've created so I'd assume so. But I think it'd be best to us Minecraft Official Topic for that.

We need an official minecraft creation topic in here for things you're making in minecraft and the official topic in TIRPADERP

Can stuff that we're getting go here too? If yes, don't you think Making & Creating is  a bit redundant, and one should be changed to Getting?
