I don't like it as much as Twilight Princess, the controls are bad (ever tried combat with the motion+?) and there's hardly anything to explore, the graphics are also very cartoony and it feels really childish.
Fi is just captain obvious, and saying lots of stats in your sentences DOES NOT make you smart, it just makes you sound moronic. The tips she gives are very stupid, and extremely obvious. Shield bashing never works for me, I just thrust it forward and nothing really reacts. Sword fighting really is hard with motion+, as if I swing it downwards it will do a diagonal attack. As well as many other things which don't work with the sword fighting, I found if an enemy is blocking it will take a while to get a hit in as I have to try and make it detect that I'm swinging it down.
Although there are some nice things, like upgrading your gear, the fact that there's only little islands to properly explore is a little saddening, seeming that most of the surface is really linear and you're set to a path, and epona beats the loft wing any day.

I think that the controls are a lot better than twilight princess. I tried going back to Twilight Princess after playing Skyword Swword, and I kept messing up with the sword swings. Also, the nunchuck was sort of unresponsive. I thought that Skyward Sword was a fantastic game overall.

While I do agree that Twilight Princess was more memorable, you make it seem like Skyward Sword is a bad game. It's not.
The Motion+ controls add a lot of depth to the game. And nothing to explore? Really? Puzzles are everywhere in the world, not just in dungeons.
Fi is meant to be that way. Think of her as Navi. She's there for beginner players, and not exactly for expert, hardcore players. Plus, she [spoilers]shows some emotion at the end when she requests to be permanently sealed in the Master Sword.[/spoilers]
Also, it you're going to moan and groan about graphics, go play Über Graphics Card Testing (read: Crysis). If you're going to gripe about the controls, go play something else.
Was Zelda II a bad game, despite its side-scrolling and RPG leveling? No, it was challenging, but still Zelda. Was Majora's Mask bad because it was dark, mature (rated E my foot), and just plain scary? Combined with the three day time limit? No, it was excellent, and I liked it better than OOT. Was Wind Waker bad for turning Hyrule into the Great Sea and having cel-shaded graphics? No, I loved it to the heart. Was Four Swords bad for including Multiplayer into the core of a Zelda game? No, It was extremely enjoyable. Was Twilight Princess bad for having Wolf Link and the Wii version being right-handed? No, despite how gimicky the wolf form was, it was more like a throwback the transformation masks from MM. Not to mention that it's just plain cool to eat chunks of enemies. Was Spirit Tracks bad for being "too industrial?" No, it was just wasn't trying to be the whole epic-scale adventure the console titles deliver. Was Skyward Sword bad for making the perfect blend of art styles, being an origin story, using the new controller, and making Link wear tights? No.
In conclusion, the only bad games were the Unholy Triforce.

Never said it was bad, but TP was so much better, there was so much to explore and it wasn't so blocked off. And I don't really mind graphics, but they play a huge part in the feel of the game, it felt very childish compared to TP, which was dark and medieval themed. I know Fi is meant to be like that, that doesn't mean I can't have a problem with it though, saying "If you go in there you will catch alight" is simpler than "I detect an 85% chance that if you go in there your clothing will combust", does this mean you only catch alight 85% of the time? No, it's just trying to sound smart in a misleading way.

Which do you choose?
"HEY! LISTEN! HEY! LISTEN! HEY! LISTEN! HEY! LISTEN! HEY! LISTEN! HEY! LISTEN! HEY! LISTEN! HEY! LISTEN! Your Wii Remote's batteries are low!"
"Master Link, your Wii Remote's batteries are low."

I prefer the "" noise midna made much better.

Midna was just plain creepy ok
I'm just throwing that out there
anyway yeah they're both really great games ok? Personally I thought Skyward Sword was better but I wish you could travel places as easy as in Twilight Princess.
But they both have their flaws

That's what I loved about TP, it was so dark and medieval, Midna was a dark spirit which could transform you into a wolf and warp you, Fi is a spirit who points out the obvious and chucks some percentages in there too.
and she's useless but so was Navi
