Scratch Forums "46'er" Rank

This is just something I came up with now.

You know how everyone is trying to get as many connections with the Old Misc as possible before it gets removed?

I have the solution: the 46'er rank.

Like Team Fortress 2's "Proof of Purchase" seal, this basically declares anyone an "old timer."

How is someone eligible for one? Good question.

Basically, anyone who's been using Misc. for quite some time now receives it. My best bet is if someone's been on the old Misc. for about a year (like me).

What does it do? ...not much honestly. However, it will help people remember the olden days, acting as sort of a lubricant into the Forums 2.0.

Note: this rank applies to banned users as well. It will not, however, apply to Moderators, TBG Moderators, Retired Moderators, ScratchR devs, or Scratch Team members. We don't want to obscure their current rank.  wink

Re: Scratch Forums "46'er" Rank

I don't support this much. I think it's just an unnecessary feature, and Scratch won't waste money on a random rank, anyway.

I'm not sure I agree with this - what point does signifying that somebody loves Miscellaneous have?

None.
Like you, I don't agree with this. It's just a way of segregating people into "I WAS THERE IN MISC YOU WEREN'T BWAHAHAHAHA!" and "WAAAAAA! I WANNA COOL RANK!".

Seriously, this is not a good idea.

This is a temporary signature. It will exist until I think of something witty.

Do you think it costs money to set up a new rank?

Dislike.  Pointless, redundant, some users may not get the reference, and quite honestly, the current ranking system is fine.

Adding on to coolstuff's reasoning,
What about those of us who have most of our posts in the other forums, yet have been on for over a year?

Re: Scratch Forums "46'er" Rank

Seems kinda useless and another way to make newer users feel left out IMO.  hmm

Hmph enjoy your fall - I get a lovely spring... without pans of new leaves.
