Yeah, maybe. I'm currently in seventh grade and am friends with at least five boys.
3 my age, one in 5th grade, one in 1st grade.
Well all my friends are girls so I'm one to talk

Welcome to drama. It's called gossip. Rumors, mean girls, and all that stuff. In 5th grade, I dove into it. You will, too. Someone probably started a rumor about you. Just be really nice and friendly to everyone, but be assertive. Don't let the meanies walk all over you.
Last year, when I was in 5th grade, I kind of cut myself off from other people. Because I learned that I couldn't trust ANYONE except my dearest, closest friend.
Don't do what I did. XD

It's perfectly fine to not be in the "popular" group. I'm not. There's nothing wrong with being different.

Me neither. idc about romance. I just don't like when people dislike me for no reason.

I had 4 girlfriends in 6th grade... biggest mistake ever. You don't need to date anyone till high school either.

Or don't get involved in stuff like that.
Just be with your actual friends and don't give two wet turds about others.
Apparently, the only rumor ever spread about me is that I dated a transsexual without knowing they are transsexual. Not that I heard this from a reliable source or we had a transsexual in my school.

Maybe its because girls mature faster than guys and around 5th to 7th grade there is a barrier

Don't worry about girls until like, high school man.

Soon romance rubbish will start.
Just say no if you don't want to have a girlfriend for a week.
It rarely lasts longer.
And it only causes trouble.

From experience they totally don't.
They may act more serious but they're just as dumb, they have less fun however.

Umm....
Without knowing you at all, how could anybody help you?
That's like saying "What clothes would make me look good?" Without ever seeing the person.

There IS something wrong with having few to no friends, though it seems like it's only girls that are bothering you. (Warning, I'm guessing here) It's natural for girls to stop liking you/boys at this age because girls tend to mature faster than boys and they might have outgrown you, and possibly just boys in general. It could also be some sort of drama.

Well, I matured physically faster than probably most in my grade (6th grade), but that's probably because of genetics, since my mom and sister did at the same time (incidentally, this also is part of my being short-ish because we all went through puberty really quickly and then stopped, as opposed to my dad who I guess was different but I never asked.)
Emotionally, you still have a LONG way to go and plus you were right about having less fun because everyone is in their cynical stage.

Well, physical maturation just depends or whatever.
But I swear, unless being more mature means being obsessed with "who like who" stuff then they aren't.
And they don't have as much fun as me as far as I can tell. Boring sticks in the mud. I seem to laugh more. :L
