I heard Spongebob saying [A word that was too inappropriate for Scratch] in one episode.

It was censored, but I found a video of it slowed down and uncensored (Not giving link).

No, it hasn't gotten more mature, it's gotten more violent, driven by shock value and low brow humor alone. You want mature, watch the original 3 seasons. The amount of subtle adult jokes there is amazing.

I know that. I thought you were talking about another episode, cuz that was never censored. If you watch that episode on Nickelodeon right now, you can still make it out.

Do not remind me of that dreadful episode. I think the episode I'm thinking of is where Sandy prepares for hibernation and Spongebob joins Sandy, but finds out the extreme activities like finding a piece of hay in a needle stack and biking in a construction site. With terrible consequences.

First there's the gross splinter episode, then you see more disassembling of body parts and showings of organs than probably all the other seasons combined. And I'm sure a lot of you will remember a certain scene involving a couch. I'm literally shuddering right now, just thinking of the godawful scene. I admit I do watch way more gorey things than I'm supposed to, but I can't even watch this scene without looking away or tucking in my toes. ugh.

In conclusion, Spongebob is way past it's time for cancellation. It had a good run up to, I'd say late 2009, but its really just time to stop. But there's a problem.

Nickelodeon is stuck in a position where If it does cancel Spongebob, Its practically nothing. It has no other shows to fall back on, and will just die. And if it doesn't cancel Spongebob, It will just just run it's way straight to the ground. The only way I could see it working is if Nickelodeon makes another show as good as Spongebob. But we all know thats never going to happen. I'm not saying the new episodes are bad. They're actually pretty good compared to the other shows ( So many unneeded CGI shows ). Its just time to pull the plug.
