To any new scratch members I have some things to say. I recently became a scratch member and I am dissapointed in what I am seeing. I thought this would be games but it turns out to be more pictures than games. You also have to download the scratch app to upload a video. I don't think this was a good website. That's all from me.
Until next time. I tell you the truth about websites.

Sorry to hear that you dislike the website, but keep in mind that Scratch is pretty much open to more than games - it's open to other things such as art, animation, simulations, etc. and that most users on the website are young children who might still be experimenting with the Scratch software.
There's talk of a possible onsite uploader in the future, but you'll still need the Scratch software to make the projects in the first place as well as play any Scratch projects offline, so it's worth the download.

Scratch isn't for only games, it's also for things like animations, simulations, and maybe as you put it, "pictures". Scratch is a place for people to express their creativity by uploading projects. And yes, there are plenty of games! Just look in the most popular tags, and click "games". You should come up with some pretty nice games.
Anyway, my point here is that Scratch is probably not exactly what you are thinking. Some people are fairly new to scratch and only knows how to post only pictures! And I think it would have been a little nicer if you have just said hi.
Anyway, I hope your stay at Scratch gets a little bit undisappointing (xD Not a word, I know.)!

Scratch is for more than just making games. I'm not gonna criticise you for what you think, because everyone has their own opinions, but I'd like to know what it is about animations etc. that you don't like. I personally find them amazing
