Larger aperture= larger opening in lens= nice, blurry background.
The lower the f number is, the blurrier the background is and the lighter the image is.
The higher the number is, the smaller the opening In the lens, the darker the image is.

Well, my camera sucks. It doesn't look professional at all when you take a picture
But I fix it on the computer by using Gimp, so in the end it looks like it was taken with a good camera.
