There should be an option that you can check a box to make your project unlisted, meaning only those with the link can see it
Also, i would really like to communicate with people to do collabs and stuff through PMing/ private messaging

No, it wouldn't be used as that! Youtube has an unlisted projects thing where maybe they say some personal stuff or something embarrassing, so they decide to have it unlisted.

Yeah, I don't really think we need to have unlisted projects. If you only want certain people to see a project, you can put it on your own website

I agree with the first one; it's sort of like the "Private video" feature on YouTube. The Scratch Team has said time and again that private messaging will never be allowed, though.
