I know how to shiny chain. I should do that more. I've encountered a Shiny graveller in iron island but I accidentally killed it.

What? I don't know how to do that? How do you do it?

Re: Help the pokemon trainers!Save them from illusion!

It's hard to explain, but I'll tell you anyway.

To Prepare:
1) Get a strong pokemon that can easily take out others.
2) Get a pokeradar.
3) Find a patch of grass.
4) Put on poketch app #20( you can get it from proffesor oak in Pal prk).
5) Drink some patience juice.

Procedure:
1) Register the pokeradar to the Y button.
2) Use it in the patch of grass.
3) Go to any patch of grass that is rustling.
4) Knock out the pokemon in that patch of grass.
5) Once you are done with that battle, more grass will rustle. Your goal is to get that same species of pokemon again or the chain will end. The patches farther off have more of a chance to have that same pokemon.
6) After repeating this process for a while, you may see a patch of grass rustle with a pinkish taint. Go to that one. A shiny pokemon will come out of it.

Tips: Use a max repel before you start to chain.
The best place to practice chaining is the patch of grass just above Oreburgh.

Thanks  big_smile
Though I doubt I'll find a pokemon I really want to chain and get shiny. And the only real wild pokemon I'll train are those caught at something like lvl2 or 3. I think I'll try fro a shiny shinx though. } big_smile

Re: Help the pokemon trainers!Save them from illusion!

Or a shiny Gachomp would be nice...

Anyways, I still don't have internet. I right before the second gym with a lvl 25 Gravellor(Geo), lvl 25 Monferno(Dante, from the epic poem, Dantes Inferno.), and a lvl 15 ghastly(King Boo). Is Gastrodon any good as a water/ground? I may want to train for one.

He's reasonably good, but Swampert is a LOT better.

The three best starting pokemon are Infernape, Swampert and Empoleon. They are all in the Overused tier.

Re: Help the pokemon trainers!Save them from illusion!

Hmm, blaziken seemed really good. Maybe just becauses its fire though... I never trained mine for competitive play, just the elite fours. Now I actually have to make sure that they are good!

BTW, I nickname all of my pokemon. Every single one.
My Gravelor is Geo, no creativity there.
Monferno is Dante, from the epic poem, Dantes Inferno
My Ghastly is King Boo. If you don't know where that is from, just leave now and save some dignity.  tongue
I won't list the other 30.

Blaziken was the best starter to use in Ruby and Sapphire(not emerald) because he is super-effective against three of the five people in the pokemon league.

TheSaint was really lucky to get that shiny. the chance to get a shiny is like 1/8152 (unless he shiny chains, but that's impossible now because he doesn't have a poke-radar.)

Re: Help the pokemon trainers!Save them from illusion!

Some really good news to all Platinum players!
There's a WiFi event up right now to get the secret key, so if you have an internet connection you can get your Rotom as a dishwasher or an oven or something.
To get this all you need is to get Mystery Gift.

If you haven't got Mystery gift, here's how to get it:
Go to Jubilife City
In the TV station, on either the 2nd or 3rd floor, there is a guy who wants to interview you. Answer his questions with these answers:
1st two
EVERYONE HAPPY
2nd two
WIFI CONNECTION
So you give him the phrase EVERYONE HAPPY WIFI CONNECTION. I split it up because you tell him it in two parts.
If you've done this correctly, he will say something like "I see you're in the know" or something. Now save it and turn your game off.
When you next turn it on, you will have the Mystery gift option on the title screen. From there, just go "receive gift via nintendo wifi connection. This will also be used for events like the Gracidea Key (for Sky Forme Shaymin).

The 2nd good thing is that I got the gold print from the battle tower. You need a49 win streak. This time, Palmer uses a Regigigas, Heatran and a Cresselia.

Yes! I got online. I found out my Wep key.  smile  Now all I have to do is get to Jubilife from the cowfolk ranch town.  smile

How do I find out my friend code? (It will change soon though as I am getting my own DS in a week or so.)

Edit: Oops, I registered a Friend code on this DS. Will I be able to change it later?

My FC is 0001-9667-4415
