Whenever I make a new profile picture and update it, it usually takes a couple of days to update on everything, like projects, comments, etc. Is this a bug?

Hmm, I've never heard of it taking days, but it usually does take a little bit of time for it to update. Maybe the servers have been a bit slower these last couple of days?

I haven't had a problem like that...that's strange. 8l Maybe try doing Scratch on a different computer or browser?

It just has to flush out the cache.

It used to be like that for me...
But now it's a lot faster.

Last time I did it, it took somewhere between 12 to 24 hours, maybe more (I'm not sure).

No, I think what he means is that when he uploads a new picture, the file isn't very large, but it takes a very long time to show up instead. :p

I think it's more of a "problem" with your computer... most modern browsers cache images (sometimes pages too) to make loading faster. This is a good thing in general, but can be annoying for stuff that should be updating often. It's also inconvenient for web developers, as it is impossible to control whether the user's browser will flush the cache or not.
Long story short, scimonster's right

It might take a while for the server to update. or it may be either a server bug or cookies slowing it down. try deleting cookies/cache and see if it speeds up.

I understand now. I want to close this topic. Thanks everybody. This wasn't a problem. It took just a few hours instead.
