I remember a time like this that happened to me. My mom was using the computer when I was gone at piano that day, she claimed to have no connection to this sudden problem with the sound system and lots of lag, and it turned out that she downloaded a virus, we gave that computer to a neighbor and I got a laptop and my mom got my old computer. Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll turn out that way.

It's my personal opinion that 'hate' is fine if you're not talking about a person

Use tab and arrow keys to navigate the computer for now.
Try getting new mouse and keyboard.

Do you have another computer you can swap things with?
Could be a surge or something do you think?

Check and see if the batteries are not dead. Also check that the power is on. Sorry, that's all that I could think of that might help.
It's a desktop and computers don't tend to give error messages when they're off.

Hmm, so it is a usb keyboard and mouse.
Hook up the monitor to the old computer, then try the keyboard and mouse on there. If it dosnt work, then you need a new keyboard and mouse.
If it does work, then send me some specs of your computer.

Gut the computer and the bloody horse gets it.
Ugh. Be rational here.
1. You are a human being
2. These are inanimate objects
3. This has nothing to do with you
So please, just stay out of this
