Believe me, those exist. From personal observation, there seems to be more hating on Pokemon than Minecraft. You probably just haven't seen them since most are usually reported quickly and the negative stuff cleaned out.

Agreed;; there's a lot more hating on things like Pokemon or MLP.

I'm not a huge fan of any of those games, you don't see me trolling about it.
I personally think that if people don't like Minecraft, they have no business to be trolling on Minecraft-related threads.

The reason for that is that Mario and Pokemon have earned respect by being repeatedly critically acclaimed. They've been around for a while and so attracted aarge group of followers. Especially Pokemon has a massive market because it appeals to boys and girls and the 'Gotta Catch 'Em All' tagline has made the games highly addictive.

Minecraft on the other hand is relatively new so while there is a large cult of fans it still has many skeptics. And to be perfectly honest I don't think you can compare Minecraft to Mario and Pokemon because the latter are games that have a much wider audience. Sandbox games like MC will always be undermined by platformers and RPGs because they have a broader variety in terms of gameplay.

My personal opinion though?
I'd take Mario and Pokemon any day.

Yeah...I mean, it's okay to have an opinion, but you shouldn't just going around saying, "MINECRAFT SUX! ITS TEH WORST GAME EVAR!!!" on Minecraft threads (Or any thread when a topic is something you don't like). It gets annoying. And if you are going to do it, do it respectfully (Like you said).
I don't play any of those games nor do they interest me at all, but I don't post on Minecraft threads about how much I hate them.
